Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Graduate employability is a reflection to the efficacy of the academic system and human capital development at the University. All graduates envisioned a stable and prestigious career with lucrative pay, in line with their hard work to achieve their degree. Such aspiration is also supported by industrial requirement which rely on the economy and current market trend. The gap between the desire to enter the job market with specific requirement should be narrowed down in preparing Malaysia to face a more competitive global economy era together with other developed nations.

UTM Career Centre (UTMCC) under the Department of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students’ Affairs) Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, envisage to become students’ development centre to bring forth the aspiration on graduate employability with the emphasis on exclusivity and skill full craftsmanship. This aspiration is in accordance with the vision and objective stated in the UTM enVision 2021-2025, emphasising on the creation of holistic, competitive and intellectual graduates.

Numerous career development programmes have been organised by the UTMCC, centralising on students’ participation as a whole. UTMCC collaboration with various Faculties and Schools, has organised developmental career programmes and interventions. Not to mention, career programmes organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education have also been propagated widely through social media, a central platform of communication in recent times. UTMCC is a unique centre with highly qualified officers in career psychology to guide and assist students making career-based decisions.

Personally, I hope all students would optimise our services and participate in the Graduate Employability programmes offered by UTMCC for the benefit of all UTM students.
