Product Engineer

About the Role

What you’ll be doing?

• Product Quotation: Responsible for quoting new products and verifying prices for engineering change products.

• Process Planning: Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and other technical requirements to plan product manufacturing processes. Design tooling and fixtures, and track the progress of their production.

• Engineering Change: Initiate and handle the ECN (Engineering Change Notice) process, and be responsible for tasks related to product technical changes.

• Preparation of PPAP Documents: Responsible for preparing and maintaining product PPAP documents (such as PFMEA – Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and CP – Control Plan) according to customer requirements, and identify and control key dimensions and special processes.

• Programming Work: Tool list, program preparation, risk assessment, problem solving.

• Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to internal production staff and technical support to external suppliers.

What We’re Looking For:

• Possess a minimum qualification of Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Manufacturing or related fields.

• Experience: Over 3 years of relevant work experience in mechanical manufacturing (metal component machining).

• Good command of written and spoken Mandarine, Bahasa Malaysia, and English, as the role requires liaising with Mandarin-speaking counterparts and working in a multilingual environment

• Preferred Industry: Aviation, medical, semiconductor, hardware molds, automotive parts, etc.

• Familiar with ISO or AS quality systems and related documentation requirements.

• Proficient in PFMEA, DFM, DOE, 5 Whys, Ishikawa (fishbone) diagram, and other related tools.

• Familiar with at least one CNC machine system, such as FANUC, HEIDENHAIN, or SIEMENS.

• Strong logical thinking and analytical abilities, concise and clear in communication, with organized presentation skills.

• Knowledge: Mechanical drawing, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), measuring tools and inspection, machining processes, CNC tooling knowledge, metal cutting principles, heat treatment and welding basics, non-destructive testing basics, surface treatment basics.

• Skills: Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, UG, CATIA, etc.
