QA Engineer

About the Role

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections for precision-machined components.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and customer quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Operate or coordinate the use of CMM, height gauges, micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges, profile projectors, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Verify critical dimensions, tolerances, surface finishes, and other product characteristics.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
• Identify, document, and investigate non-conforming products and manufacturing issues.
• Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, and 8D.
• Work with Production and Engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and improve process quality, yield, scrap, and rejection rates.
• Support customer complaints, quality investigations, and corrective action reports.
• Assist with supplier quality issues and incoming material inspections where required.
• Ensure measuring equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Participate in internal, customer, and external quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable quality standards such as ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
• Support continuous improvement activities and quality improvement projects.
