About the Role

Duties & Responsibilities

• Achieve the overall business objectives of the Project/Construction Section.
• Assist the Senior Project Engineer to conduct kick-off, pre-project and project meetings to ensure team members achieve project objectives, quality, lead-time, safety and construction requirements.
• Plan and assist the Senior Engineer to monitor the daily progress of activities and ensure completion according to schedule.
• Prepare engineering documents such as work instructions and progress reports/data.
• Prepare statement of work procedures and Risk Assessment (RA) for specific jobs, including associated risks and mitigation strategies.
• Calculate usage of resources such as labour hours, materials, tools and other costs to ensure projects remain within budget.
• Understand and evaluate project requirements, particularly materials, schedules, equipment and labour loading.
• Assist the Senior Engineer/Construction Superintendent in assigning tasks to work teams.
• Assist in site situation, technical requirements, project specifications, special engineering requirements, coordination procedures, execution approaches and activities.
• Ensure subcontractors and work teams carry out tasks and tests/inspection according to specifications and standards.
• Assist in resolving engineering issues at site and coordinate with relevant engineering support units.
• Prepare necessary documents for VO’s/FI’s and other project-related requirements.
• Update the project portal regularly.
• Monitor and maintain site billing and invoicing procedures for clients and subcontractors.
• Prepare progress reports and submit monthly progress billing.
• Carry out other duties assigned by immediate superior or higher management.
• Prepare project close-out reports for Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager review before submission to clients.
• Ensure final acceptance of the project by the client according to contractual requirements.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the same capacity, preferably in similar or related industries.
• Good technical competency.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Knowledge and application of planning tools such as Primavera P6/P3 and MS Project is essential.
