Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, represented by Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd, with
offices and manufacturing plants located in Selangor and Penang. In Malaysia, Bosch is
active in the areas of Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, Energy
and Building Technology. The company has three manufacturing arms in Penang, producing
car multimedia systems, power tools, and steering system and soon our fourth plant which
is the Bosch semiconductor test site at Batu Kawan is the newest addition to The Bosch
Group’s plants in Penang, with focus on the business of semiconductor components and
sensor testing. In 2023, Malaysia contributed sales of around RM 787 million and employed
around 4,200 associates.
